Analysis of Heavy Metals Concentration in Textile Wastewater in Batik Industry Center

The textile industry is the main source of environmental pollution in terms quality and quantity. It consumes large amounts water (200 m3/ tonne products), around 90% quantity wastewater. Improper disposal wastewater will cause serious problems due to presence heavy metals waste which adversely affect aquatic organisms. To analyze, concentration (batik) was collected from 15 small, medium, large-scale centers located at Batik Industry Center Kampoeng Laweyan Surakarta, Indonesia August 2019. Standard methods 22nd Edition 2012 APHA -AWWA-WEF with inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) used analyze Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu), Chromium (Cr), Cadmium (Cd), Lead (Pb) Nickel (Ni) sample. results analysis showed that sample locations, several locations had levels Cu, Pb, Ni, Cr, Cd below detection limit, i.e. 2 (<0.01 ppm), 13 (<0.02 ppm) for each metal respectively, while Fe were above limit all locations. mean number Fe, Ni 2.63 ± 5.01 (n = 15), 0.48 0.99 13), 0.05 0.03 2) 0.02 0.00 ranges level 0.07-19.4 ppm, 0.01-3.73 0.02-0.07 0.01-0.02 ppm respectively. Among these metals, highest samples Cr Pb limit.
